No. VoiceTyping works in your browser on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and Android. You can install it as a web app to your Dock, taskbar or home screen, and add the extension for Chrome or Edge to dictate straight into text fields on the web.

Open the app, hold the microphone button or press your shortcut, talk, and let go. The cleaned text appears in a couple of seconds. With the extension, click the microphone in any text field or hold the hotkey.

Yes. The demo on the homepage lets you record up to 15 seconds and see your cleaned text without an account and without a card.

A working microphone and a quiet enough room. The built-in microphone of a laptop or phone is fine. A headset helps in open offices.

Built-in dictation writes down every word, including fillers and restarts, and often misses punctuation. VoiceTyping removes fillers, repetitions and false starts, fixes self-corrections, adds punctuation and paragraphs and applies a style for the app you are writing in.

Everyday words come out very well. For client names, product names and industry terms, add them to your dictionary once and VoiceTyping spells them right every time.

With the extension for Chrome and Edge, any text field on the web, including Gmail, Outlook on the web, Slack, Notion, Google Docs, LinkedIn and ChatGPT. Everywhere else, dictate in the web app and copy or share the text with one tap.

Hold to talk, toggle recording on and off, insert the last result again and undo the last insert. You can change every shortcut in settings.

The extension chooses the style by the site you are on, for example Email in Gmail, Chat in Slack and Document in Google Docs or Notion. You can switch the style at any time, and on Pro and Team you can create your own.

Your audio is processed to produce text and deleted right after transcription. It is never stored as a recording and never used to train models.

Only you, and on the Team plan the shared dictionary and styles are visible to your team. Your text history is encrypted at rest. You can switch history off, and one click deletes everything.

No. The extension only acts in the text field where you start a dictation, to insert your text there. It does not read or send the content of the pages you visit. More on privacy and security.

One minute of recorded speech, transcribed, cleaned and styled. Personal includes 400 minutes a month, Pro 900 and Team 1,500 per seat, each with a daily cap.

Dictation pauses until the next day or the next billing month. You can move to a higher plan at any time. There are no top-ups or credits.

Yes, from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.

Payments are final. We refund only a double charge, a charge you did not authorize, or a period when the service did not work at all. See the refund policy.

Yes. On the Team plan the admin sets up a shared dictionary and shared styles, so everyone spells product and client names the same way and writes in the same tone.
