Terms of service

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You agree to give an accurate email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think your account was accessed without permission.

If you buy a Team plan, you confirm that you may bind your organization. Team admins can add and remove members, assign roles and remove access. The organization is responsible for its members' use of the service.

VoiceTyping turns your speech into text and cleans it up with speech recognition and language models. It works in the browser, as an installed web app and as an extension for Chrome and Edge. It needs an internet connection. AI output can contain errors, so you are responsible for reviewing text before you send or rely on it.

The one-time demo on the home page is offered without an account and may be limited per visitor, per IP address and per day.

VoiceTyping is offered as a subscription. Plans, prices and included features are shown on the pricing page at the time you buy. Prices are in USD and may exclude taxes that apply in your location.

You pay in advance for each monthly or yearly period. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will tell you in advance of any price change for your plan, and the change applies from your next renewal.

When you move to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing, the difference is charged right away and the new plan starts once payment succeeds. A move to a lower plan takes effect from your next renewal, without a refund for the current period.

You can cancel at any time in your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

Payments are final, with the exceptions described in our refund policy.

If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until the payment succeeds.

Each plan includes a monthly number of AI minutes and a daily cap, shown on the pricing page and in your account. Personal includes 400 minutes per month with a 40 minute daily cap, Pro 900 minutes with a 90 minute daily cap, and Team 1,500 minutes per seat with a 120 minute daily cap per seat. Minutes reset with each monthly period and do not roll over. Deleting results does not restore used minutes. When you reach a limit, dictation pauses until the next day or period, or until you move to a higher plan.

• Break the law or infringe the rights of others with the service.
• Record or transcribe other people without the consent required by law.
• Upload malicious code, probe or attack the service, or try to bypass limits or security.
• Resell, share or sublicense your account or seats outside your organization.
• Use automated means to access the service in ways it is not designed for, or to build a competing product.
• Use the service for content that is abusive, harassing or sexually exploits minors.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

You keep all rights to your audio and text. You give us a limited permission to process your content only to provide the service to you. We never use your audio or text to train models. How we handle data is described in our privacy policy.

The service, its software, design and brand belong to the administrator of the voicetyping.ai service or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription, in line with these terms. Feedback you send may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that transcriptions will be accurate.

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if required by law, or if we stop offering the service, in which case we refund the unused part of a prepaid period as described in our refund policy.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and tell account holders by email about material changes. If you keep using the service after changes take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, cancel before they take effect.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. Questions go to [email protected]. See also our cookie policy and privacy and security overview.
