VoiceTyping

AI dictation that understands what you meant, not only what you said

Plain dictation writes down sounds. AI dictation reads the whole sentence and decides what belongs in the text. VoiceTyping runs every recording through speech recognition and language models that strip the noise of natural speech, apply your corrections, punctuate, format and set the tone for where the text is going. Here is exactly what that layer does.

Five things the AI does to every sentence

Natural speech is messy. We hesitate, repeat ourselves, start over and correct a number halfway through. The AI layer in VoiceTyping handles each of those on purpose.

1. Fillers and repeats disappear

"Um", "uh", "like", "you know", "I mean" and doubled words such as "the the" are dropped. Words that carry meaning stay. "Like" in "I'd like a copy" is kept, "like" in "it was, like, huge" is not.

2. False starts are cut

When you begin a sentence, stop and begin again, only the finished version is kept. You do not get half a sentence glued to the front of the real one.

3. Your corrections win

Say "send it Tuesday, no, Wednesday" and you get "send it Wednesday". Say "the budget is 40, sorry, 45 thousand" and you get "the budget is 45 thousand". The AI recognizes the correction and keeps only the final answer.

4. Punctuation, paragraphs and lists

Periods, commas, question marks and capitals are added from how you speak. A change of topic starts a new paragraph. Several items in a row become a list. You never have to say "comma".

5. Tone that fits the app

The last step shapes the text for its destination. Email gets a greeting and short paragraphs. Chat stays short and casual. Document gets full sentences and structure. Notes become compact points. Pro and Team let you write your own custom styles, and the browser extension picks the style from the site you are on.

Translate while you dictate

On Pro and Team, speak in one language and get the text in another. Talk in English and say "translate to Spanish", or set a target language before you start. It works with English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Dutch and more, and the spoken language is detected automatically.

The AI follows your rules

  • Your dictionary tells the AI how to spell names, brands and jargon
  • Your style tells it how formal and how long the text should be
  • Voice commands such as "make it shorter" and "more formal" adjust the last result
  • Undo the last insert if the result is not what you wanted

FAQ

Does the AI change what I meant?

No. It removes fillers, repeats and abandoned starts and applies your own corrections. It does not add facts or opinions. If you want a bigger change, you ask for it with a command such as "make it shorter".

What counts as an AI minute?

One minute of recorded speech processed into clean text. Your monthly minutes and daily cap are shown in your account, so you always know where you stand.

Can I see the raw transcript?

The result view shows what you said next to what VoiceTyping typed, with removed words struck through, so you can check every change.

Is AI dictation slower than plain dictation?

The cleanup runs on the whole recording in one pass, so the text is ready within a moment of you stopping. For most messages that is faster than fixing a raw transcript by hand.

Is my voice used to train the AI?

No. Audio is deleted right after transcription and is never used to train models. Your text history is encrypted at rest and can be switched off or deleted in one click.
